I am putting this in a blog: however, I guess it will only be of interest to my immediate family. I don't recall if I ever showed you my cactus garden. Here are a few photographs On The First Floor Of Santa Workshop.
Beautiful Sticky Things
These Little Round Ball All Over The Cactus Are Blooms Which Came Out After I Got Them Home
This Beautiful Red Cactus. This Is How They Were When I Got Them Home. You Can See One Little
Blossom Coming Out On The Left Side.
Look. New Blossoms Coming Out On The Red One.
Two Of The Larger Cactus Are Blooming And Boy Are They Sticky.
Now lets enter no man's land below and see just what is or has been going on down there. Lots of noise and coming back upstairs for a while then going back down. And oh yeah the guy down there is wearing some weird cloths. So lets see if we can take a peak. Looks mighty dusty and all sorts of machinery and there on top of that big table saw is some kind of work in progress I guess you would call it. Looks like it might be some kind of building or a pile of junk.
Not Sure What This Is. Looks Like A Pile Of Junk To Me. It Does Look Like There Might Be A Door
And Windows.
Different View Of Pile Of Junk. There Is No One Around So Lets Get Out Of Here.
Wonder What It Is. Looks Like Some Of It Has Been Painted Red And The Floors Look Like They
Have Been Varnished.
Different View Of Wonder What It Is.
Oh, My There He Is. His Mouth Is Open. I Don't Know If He Is Surprised To See Us Down Here Or
He Is Getting Ready To Yell At Us. Hey, Its Christmas Time Maybe He Is Singing. What Is That
Apron Thing He Is Wearing?
Its Kind Of Quiet Down In The Basement I Think We Should Go Back Down There And See What
Is Going On. It Looks Like Those Two Big Pieces Have Been Put Together. You Know It Kind Of
Looks Like A Barn And Look At The Floor It Looks Like Individual Boards..
View From A Different Angle. Looks Like The Roof Has Lines Drawn On It. I Wonder What They
Would Be For.
Oh Boy Caught Again. What Is That On His Head? Is That A Santa Hat. I Wonder. He Doesn't Look
Like He Is Angry At Us For Sneaking A Peak He Just Looks Tired. I Think It Best To Go Back Up Stairs And Not Get In The Way. On The Way Out I Saw The Plans Laying There And I Saw The Name " The Ruff' N Rustic " All American Barn. Sure Are A Lot Of Machines. Maybe Tomorrow We Can Go Back And See If Anything More Has Been Done.
Early The Next Morning And Look There Are Little Shingles On The Roof. I Bet Those Lines We
Saw On The Roof Were To Help Keep In Shingles In A Straight Row. Isn't That Clever.
View Of The Back. There Must Be More Roof To Be Put On. I Don't See " Him " Down Here This Morning. Too Early I Guess. I Looked At The Plans Again And Saw The Shingles Are Called
" Fishscale " Split Cedar. You Know This Just Looks Like It Could Be A Barn Doll House. But I
Don't See Any Animals Around Anywhere. We Will Just Have To Come Back And Look Again.
Update # 1, Nov 19, 2013
It has been quiet downstairs the last couple of days so I decided to go down and see what has been
going on if anything. When I got down there I did not see anyone around and I saw the Items pictured below with a couple of clamps holding something . Not sure about that.
known as Jan's workroom. I looked at these boxes and they were all marked with " historical material '
or " historical items ". Not sure what that means. I will have to keep checking to see if I can detect
anymore questionable actions. If not questionable then interesting actions that will require explanation.

Update # 2, Nov 23, 2013
It has been a couple of days since I have checked the basement so I decided to go down and see what has been going on if anything because there has not been any sawing or hammering. When I got down there I did not see anyone around and I saw the items pictured below. There are still clamps holding some pieces together and it looks like some more stuff has been painted and an item added to the roof.
Looks Like Clamps Are Holding Part Of The Door And Window Pieces. I Bet The Clamps Are Holding The Track For The Door And Windows To Slide In.

Oh Boy! Look At All The Animals. There Are Calves, Lambs, Pigs, Dog, Cat, Horse, Colt, Hen And Chicks, Man, Woman, Turkey, And Even A Couple Of Skunks. I Bet They Are Looking For Eggs.
There Even Is An Old Truck With Packages In The Back And An Old Trunk.

Piece Of Wood Clamped At Bottom Edge Of The Large Door
Looking around I saw a lot of small strips of wood lying on the table saw they looked like they had
been freshly painted. I noticed a lot of boxes have been moved around and some moved to what wasknown as Jan's workroom. I looked at these boxes and they were all marked with " historical material '
or " historical items ". Not sure what that means. I will have to keep checking to see if I can detect

So It looks like the only thing left to do is deliver " The Ruff' N Rustic " All American Barn to Cassidy Marie and I hope to leave Tuesday morning 11/26/2013 to do just that. The next time you hear from me will be from New York. So until then remember that God loves you and so do I.

Oh boy, Santa and his elves have been very busy!
ReplyDeleteSounds like those elves don't work in silence like I always thought they did ha!
Your knees are really getting a workout going up and down those stairs so much. You might even be able to skip the gym while you work on that barn.
I am sure Cassidy will appreciate all the love, work and craftmanship that are going into that barn. I will ensure that. These pictures are priceless.
I love you so much
