This is a view of the front of the Ark from the main parking lot. This is where you board the buses for transport to the Ark and the ticket office is here also. In a straight line this view is about one half mile away.
This posting covers my second visit to see the recreation of the life size Ark that Noah constructed following the instruction given to him by God. Posting 3 covers the display on the third deck and covers just the Flood display. The living quarters were covered in posting 2. General views throughout the ark were covered in post # 1. This posting will be mostly photographs and enlargement so you can read what I have been looking at and you will be seeing what I saw and read. To begin with Noah constructed the Ark because God told him to, gave him instruction as to size and materials to use and told him that the world was going to be destroyed by a flood. This post covers the display covering the Ice Age which obviously happened after the Flood. I want to make this disclaimer about some of the photographs. It was very crowded in this long narrow display so it was difficult to get good positioning to take photographs where I was square to the object. You may see a few heads and people's backs.
