This posting is part of the series of postings about the 7 C's in God's Eternal Plan.
This posting is the 1st C in God's Eternal Plan - Creation which covers God's creation of t
he universe and compares God's authority versus Man's authority.
In this posting we will start looking at this statement " Man's Word The Present Is The Key To The Past " and " God's Word is the key to the past, present and future ". This will take several postings to cover and these comments, views and my thoughts are put together from displays and other materials at the Creation Museum and Biblical quotes are from the King James Version of the Holy Bible. I think you will enjoy it as we look at the 7 C's in God's Eternal Plan. They are Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross and Consummation. These 7 C's are milestones resembling a map as found in the bible and are related. Creation concern the creation of all things, Corruption concerns original sin in the Garden of Eden, Catastrophe is the flood of Noah's day, Confusion relates to the building of the Tower of Babel and the scattering of the people, Christ sees Him coming into this world, Cross covers Christ's death on the cross for all our sins and Consummation reveals the end of time. I don't know about you but in school it always offended me to be told by the teachers that in the distant past my ancestors came from slim and really we are no different than animals. We may think that as humans we sometimes may act like animals but God created the animals and He created Man in His image. He did not create animals in His image. People live their lives as they have been taught. What this really comes down to is a battle between two different forms of morality and authority. Either God is the authority or Man is the authority. Either way you see morality, theology and history from a totally different prospective. What do you call it when man is the ultimate authority? -- Humanism and all its world views. Over the years many Christians have tried to mix these two types of authority and in fact by so doing have compromised biblical history. Comparing God as the authority to man as the authority you have two different view. Under God's authority we have the Gospel, Salvation and Heaven. Under Man's authority we have Anti-gospel ( evolution ), Death, Hell and Hopelessness. Any discussion of this type eventually comes down to knowledge. Who knows what and how much is known? Does man know everything Of course not. Does God know everything? In Colossians 2:3 we find " In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge ". God knows it all and he has always been there as we find in Revelations 22:13 " I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last ". You may say how reliable is God? Well we find the answer to that question in the bible also in Titus 1: 2 "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began ". Why would we as Christians put our faith in a God that lies? We wouldn't and we don't have to worry about it because if God told a lie then that would be a sin and God cannot sin. God is the ultimate authority as you recall God in His dealings with Abraham He swore by Himself. There was and is no more ultimate authority than God and because of this we can rely on the bible to tell us about the history of the universe. Certainly it is not the total history because all the books of the world could not contain that much information but we get a good look from creation to the end of time as found in Revelations. Follow along in the next few photographs and you will see a difference in these two different authorities or stated another way " God's Word " or " Man's Word ".
According to human reason " Man's Word ", present processes operating over 14 billion years explain the world we see today. Humans are only the latest ripple in the endless stream of
evolution.
God's Word reveals that, from the beginning, God created man and woman to dwell with Him.
God's intervention at key periods of history explains most of the world we see today. In this chart you see that God is before all things as found in Colossians 1:17 " And he is before all things, and by him all things consist ". What this means is that God in the beginning created the heavens and the earth as we find in Genesis 1:1.

In taking a closer look at the first C ( which is Creation ) a question often is asked in Bible quiz " How many days did it take God to create everything? " Often we immediately say 7. No, God created everything in 6 days and rested the seventh.
On Day 1 He created the earth, the heavens, time, light and water.
On Day 2 He created the sky and the firmament which we generally refer to as the atmosphere.
On Day 3 He created the dry land and the plants.
God Plants A Garden
On Day 4 He created the sun, moon and stars.
Day 5 He created the flying and sea creatures.
Day 6 He created the land animals and man and woman.

God created man in his own image. The thought of being created in the image of an all knowing, truthful, logical God just blows my mind. Being created in this fashion it is no wonder we study and want to learn new things and how things work. We want to be truthful and logical in our thought processes. Keep in mind as we walk through this we are thinking in terms of and comparing God Word to Man's Word. Looking at man's view of life and history there is no law of logic so there is no need to be logical.
Above I mentioned that God created time so how long was each day of creation? In Genesis 1: 4 & 5 we find " And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and morning were the first day ". Again the bible gives us the answer in Exodus 20;11 we find " For in six days the Lord made the heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it ". This means He blessed it and made it holy. Isn't it interesting that we find in the 10 Commandments that God blessed the Sabbath day as holy. The Israelites understood this to mean seven normal days as we count days ( 24 hours in a day ). According to Man's view of history it took millions of years for all of creation to happen. Next the thought is so they were 24 hour days but how many years ago did it happen? Was it millions and millions of years ago? I am sure somewhere you have seen time line of creation matched up against periods of time. Here at the Creation Museum they show it this way. Creation started on day 1 through 5 before god created man ( Adam ). From Adam to Abraham it was about 2,000 years. From Abraham to today it has been about 4,000 years. So from Day 1 of creation to today it has been about 6,000 years. The museum showed how many biblical scholars have worked at calculating this time line and along the way there are some difference but the end result is the same. The earth has been around for about 6,000 years. This means the earth is young when compared to the evolutionist view of millions of years. God's creation was perfect as compared to the evolutionist view that it had to be reworked and reshaped. In Deuteronomy 32: 4 we find " He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgement: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. ". Again we see in Genesis 1:31 " And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. and the evening and the morning were the sixth day ". Just stop and think about this perfect creation. There was no sickness and there was no death. Animals ate vegetables. Again, there was no death. There were no flu shot. As I sit here working on this I am feeling the effect of the flu shot I received yesterday. Often times I say I understand this but I realize I really don't and I can't because I live in a sin cursed world and am so indoctrinated into the worlds thought process that I can't imagine what it was really like but I look forward to and I so long for the day when I will live in the new heaven and the new earth which will be resurrected where there will be no sin, no sickness , no death and I will be with my loved ones and my Heavenly Father, Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Again, there was no death. In Genesis 1: 29 - 30: we find " And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed: to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, where in there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so ". After the flood we will look at in a later posting God permitted the killing of animals for food. In Genesis 9: 3 we find " Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you: even as the green herb have I given you all things ".
In summary of the Biblical history and again to emphasis it is true we find in the first C of Creation:
1. Tells us we have dominion over all things. Genesis 1.
2. Tells us why marriage exists ( Genesis 1 ). Adam & Eve Marriage.
3. Tells us God created all things in 6 days. Genesis 1 and Exodus 20:11.
4. Tells us why we work and rest ( day 7 ). Genesis 1 & 2.
5. Tells us why we can use logic and reason and understand knowledge. We are created in the image of God. Genesis 1.
Until then remember That God Loves you so much that he sent His Son Jesus to live a sinless life and to die on the cross for each of us so that if we will confess our sins and receive him as our saviour we will live with Him in Heaven for ever and I also love you.
