This is a view of the Ark from the area near where the buses from the main parking lot bring you. Here you can rent wheel chairs, scooters and buy some snacks and get general information as well as rent lockers. This is also the prime spot for photographs with the Ark in the background.
This posting covers part of my second visit to see the recreation of the life size Ark that Noah constructed following the instruction given to him by God. Posting 3 covers the display on the third deck and covers just the Flood display. The living quarters were covered in posting 2. General views throughout the ark were covered in post # 1. This posting will be mostly photographs and enlargement so you can read what I have been looking at and you will be seeing what I saw and read. To begin with Noah constructed the Ark because God told him to, gave him instruction as to size and materials to use and told him that the world was going to be destroyed by a flood. Post Number 4 covers the display about the Ice Age which obviously happened after the Flood. This post number 5 covers Babel which was built when the people did not obey God following the flood. God told the people to multiply and spread all over the earth Instead they decided to stay in one place and build a city and a tower. We see what God did.
