Travel Update, Baldwin, New York, 7/3/2014

Arrived safely at Joyce's home. My traveling companion for this part of the trip is Lisa my grand daughter who lives in Cincinnati. We left West Chester at 4:45 Am this morning and arrived after 6 PM. Very smooth trip with only a small amount of rain and temperature in the 90 to 92 range. No delays at all until we came off  the Verrazano Bridge where we immediately hit a back up of traffic that took us over 2 hours to work through to Joyce's house. Shortly after arrival she served us an excellent meal which was much appreciated and enjoyed. We are both tired and looking forward to a night of rest while we await  the arrival of the seasons first hurricane We should only get some rain out of it and no severe weather although the local weather people are hyping it full blast. Perhaps out on the shore line it may be worse with higher tides etc. 

Must close now and get to bed.
