Travel Update, Denver, PA., Conn, 7/8/2014

Good evening from Denver, Pennsylvania where we are checked into a Comfort Inn. Joyce and Lisa are out checking out the pool right now. We had an excellent dinner at the Park Place Diner & Restaurant and then went to Baskin Robins for ice cream. It has been a frustrating day in many respects but at the same time a very special day because today is Lisa's birthday so we just said it is your day where do you want to go and what do you want to do and see.. My Tom Tom GPS is not working right and decides to stop working at the most in opportune time. Traffic was absolutely terrible coming down out Mass. through Conn. and thru the edge of New York City and down the Jersey Turnpike and into Philadelphia area. We got to Camden, New Jersey  and went to the the Aquarium which was on Lisa list of things to do.

This is an excellent aquarium and one of the best I have ever seen. The tanks for the dozens of sharks is massive. Overall it is very impressive.

Next we crossed over to Philadelphia to the Barnes Foundation Art Museum which was also on Lisa's list of things to do. Of course there will be no photographs as cameras were not allowed. The ladies had to check their hand bags and you are not allowed to stand very close to the painting. In fact there was a line around the room which marked the area where you are not allowed to stand. Each area had roving guards which came by every couple of minutes to make sure you are obeying the rules.. Lisa says the art gallery has over a hundred of paintings many of which are her favorites . Her absolute favorites are by Renoir. I took a photograph of the exterior of the Barnes Foundation building but it appears to have disappeared.

Our plans are changing daily. In fact tomorrow we are going to visit Gettysburg National Park and then back to Lancaster County. Right now we are having a good old fashion thunder storm with heavy rain and strong winds. So until later remember what I always say God loves you and so do I.
