Travel Update, Boston, Ma. 7/5/2014

Greeting from Boston, Ma. Joyce Lisa and I left Baldwin, NY at 5:00 AM and headed for Boston. We had an excellent breakfast in an IHOP in Wallingford, Conn. The drive was very pleasant with a brilliant sunrise shining right in our eyes. Nice temperature and no rain. We arrived at the JFK Presidential Library and Museum at a little after 9:00 AM visited the book story and then started our tour. This is an excellent facility. Very neat and clean and not cluttered. It is located on the University of Mass, Campus situated on the bay with water close by on 2 sides. The wind was terrific. We could hardly stand up when we were outside. We had lunch at the Cafe located inside the museum. We completed our tour about 3:00 PM and headed to find our motel. That was an adventure in its self as the Tom Tom kept losing the GPS signal. We made it safely , checked in and are now waiting for time to go to Fenway to see the Red Sox play Baltimore. The weather is beautiful with no rain in the forecast . I suspect it is going to be rather chilly.

Will close for now. Remember that God loves you and so do I.

We walked several block to Fenway Park and joined the thousands entering the ball park. This is the a very old ball park so the wide open spaces you might be use as you enter or approach the park won't be found here. They actually close off some streets and set up their screening and ticket checking devices in the street. We had good seats in the grandstand -left field just down from third base.Saw a couple of home runs and some very poor fielders play as well as dumb base running but a good game that we enjoyed.  Especially enjoyed some of the park snacks and food. We were told at all costs we had to have a " Fenway Frank " and they lived up to their billing. Just in case you are interested or even care the Baltimore Orioles beat the Home Boston Red Sox by 7 to 4. We got back to the motel and to bed about midnight so my traveling companions are sleeping in. No wait they are moving around. We will have to find breakfast and then find and walk the Freedom Trail.
