A Christmas Cup Of Tea, Pleasanton, CA., 12/21/2013

Today Janice held " A Christmas Cup Of Tea " For her family and close by neighbors at her home. Bami, Parisa and I did various job in helping set up and prepare for the occasion. In addition to a number of neighbors who attended Nicku ,Corey, as well as Corey's mother and sister attended. This was a beautiful activity and her house was so beautifully decorated for Christmas in addition to the decorations just for the tea.A couple of ladies at Corey and Nicku's church operate King Alfred's Bakery & Cafe and Janice hired them to provide various sweets for the occasion and they did a magnificent job and their product was just delicious. They also made hand painted party favors for every one. A photograph appears of these later. You see one of my jobs was quality control. That job entailed tasting the product at various stages to see if it met standards which are very high. They had to be tasted just as they were out of the oven or through the preparation line and again when " I " placed them on the table. You know they could have lost some of their flavor. I am happy to let you know that I found none that failed to meet standard.

As guest arrived they were greeted and asked to prepare a name tag and shown around the house and specifically one table of books and other literature which Janice used to explain that she wanted to start holding a ladies bible study in her home and offered the ladies the opportunity to sign up for the study. Several ladies indicated a interest in attending. Janice had prepared a framed document printed on Christmas paper with a beautiful border explaining what " A Christmas Cup Of Tea " is.

                                                  A Christmas Cup Of Tea

A Tea is composed of 4 parts

" Sweets " these are the tasty treats which are sweet to the palette

" Scones " which are the biscuit part of the tea which can be flavored and is served with jams, lemon curd and clotted cream.

" Savory " items are a heavier bite sized finger food meant to hold over a lady in Victorian times until she was served dinner which was typically very late in the evening.

" Your Cup Of Tea " this is as varied as the hand that holds the cup!

And Now You Know.....

Then she had another framed document printed on the same type of Christmas paper which told  today's " Christmas Cup Of Tea Offerings ".

Now after seeing all that sweet stuff if you didn't gain a few pounds come by and I will give you a couple off me I picked up from all that official tasting I had to do. Janice wants me to tell you that she had a Dr. Furhman shake in the morning and some Furhman chile for dinner and not a single item off the table. Seriously it was a wonderful experience and I am thankful I had the opportunity to be present and help Janice. Just think a few more days and it will be Christmas day, I have a couple more postings to get done and perhaps i will be able to work on them.

Until then remember that God loves you and so do I.
