Success In San Francisco, December 22, 2012

Good evening from Pleasanton, California and the beautiful home of daughter Janice and her husband Bami. What a miserable rainy night we had last night, Very heavy rain and high winds. I was awaken this morning around 2:30 to 3:00 with the rain hitting the windows. The rain continued through most of the morning. Today was the day. Today was the day for us to accompany granddaughter Nicku to buy her wedding dress. The proud parents had ordered a stretch limo to take us into San Francisco so in the rain we set off for the roughly 50 mile ride . Upon arrival at the location the ladies went in and Bami and I headed out to find a coffee shop. Bridegroom Corey was left home to look after the dogs and do what ever bridegrooms do when they are not allowed to go on a shopping trip such as this.

Bami and I went in search of a coffee shop so we could cool our heels while the bride made her selection. Being Saturday no offices were open so nearly the coffee shops were closed but we finally found one open. After a period of time the ladies called us and told us to come to the dress shop as the selection had been narrowed down to two. We went in and Nicku modeled the two different dresses for her Dad and she selected one. A gorgeous dress which looked beautiful and stunning on her and her, beautiful in it. Now I want you to know I have pictures of the dress but I have been sworn to secrecy and can't show it to you. Success. Yes in deed. Success.

Next we went to the waterfront/ wharf area of San Francisco to the Waterbar restaurant for lunch. By this time the sun was shining brightly and the rain had moved on pass us. We enjoyed a great meal in a great dining facility. A little historical note this was the area the was basically levelled a few years ago by an earthquake. The city demolished what was left and built all new facilities and a park area along the waterfront. Very nice area where you can walk, jog, ride your bike , fish or just sit and enjoy the waterfront activity and scenery and of course dine in the restaurants.

We returned home in bright shining sun. Several of us took a short nap and arose to the smell of dinner being prepared by Janice. A wonderful feast and then we settled down for watching of a Christmas DVD. Much laughter and time for bed. Me, I came upstairs to my bedroom for some blogging time. So all in all I want to declare it was a successful day in San Francisco and we were all greatly blessed.
A good night reminder. God loves you and He gave His Son for you and I love you.

  1. Success indeed and I know with your military intelligence background you're probably the only one who can keep this secret, secret! Haha! I was THRILLED to have you and dad there with us for the final selection! Fun day!
