This morning Janice and I drove to Redlands, CA. where the Abraham Lincoln Shrine is located. We knew it would be closed since the hours are 1 P. M. to 5 P. M. but at least we could get some photographs of the outside and any other writings or carvings there might be. It took us several hours to drive the fairly short distance to Redlands because of the morning rush hour traffic but we made it in one piece. I took several pictures and we headed back to Janice's home. Again we had to battle extremely heavy traffic along with an accident that that had 2 lanes blocked just a quarter of a mile from where we need to change routes and get out of the traffic. We had a lovely drive back through the mountains and fruit and nut growing territory. We arrived back at Janice's about 3 or 3:30. After unpacking the car I started to reload the car to head east. My hope is to get an early start in the morning.
God willing the next stop will be somewhere north and east of Las Vegas.
